Cheddleton Flint Mill Industrial Heritage Trust
Visitors
Our openings are entirely dependent on volunteers but we try to
maintain openings between 1200-1600 on Mondays & Wednesdays. Unfortunately we do not have the resources to answer individual opening time enquiries. Groups, at other times, by appointment; a minimum
donation of £50 for groups of over 12 people and £20 for smaller
groups, please.
We apologise to everyone who has rung 0161 408 5083; Skype
withdrew the facility to leave custom voicemail messages, without
notice, suddenly depriving us of this facility.
Admission is free but donations are very welcome, as the Mill
depends upon these to meet its day to day running costs. There is
a car park for genuine visitors.
Guided tours can be given upon request.
Attractions at Cheddleton Flint Mill include the Caldon
Canal, two water mills, a period miller's
cottage, a small museum about pottery raw materials and numerous
other exhibits.
There is ground floor access for people with mobility
difficulties, but it should be noted that some of the site is
rather uneven.
Large parties are welcome, but they should book in advance by contacting us. The site's car park
cannot take coaches, though advice can be given on where coaches
may be left.
